Why Arizona's Permit?

Arizona is what many call a "Constitutional Carry" state, which means you are not required to have a concealed weapons permit to conceal a handgun in Arizona. You can conceal carry without a permit as long as you are 21 or older and legally allowed to possess a firearm. Even as an Arizona resident this constitutional carry stops at the border. If you want to carry in most states you will need a concealed carry permit honored by that state. Fortunately, Arizona's permit is honored in 37 states. This class is the only class required for you to get your permit. After the course, all you need to do is submit your application. Arizona is a “shall issue” state, meaning as long as you complete the class and meet the qualifications, you will be issued a permit.

Common Questions

Do I have to be an Arizona resident to get an Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit

No, you do not need to be a resident of Arizona to receive an Arizona concealed weapons permit. Arizona will issue permits to non-residents who meet the requirements to receive a permit. Arizona is one of the best permits a non-resident can obtain. The non-resident Arizona permit is honored by more than 30 states making it great to have when traveling. Even if you have a permit from your home state you may want to consider adding a non-resident Arizona permit to add more states to the list of states you can legally carry in.

What do I need to do after the class to get my permit?

This class is the only class required to get your Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit. Once you have completed the class you will receive the certificate of completion required by the state to get your permit. During class, your fingerprints will be taken by one of our fingerprint technicians. After class, all you need to do is submit your completed application, fingerprint cards, certificate of completion, and a certified check for $60.00 to the Arizona DPS. To make things easy for $65.00 we will submit your application for you and include a certified check for $60.00 so you leave with nothing left to do. The permit will show up in the mail 3-6 weeks after submission.

Can I carry in Colorado with a non-resident concealed carry permit from another state?

No, Colorado does not honor non-resident permits from other states. So if you are a Colorado resident the only way to legally conceal carry a firearm is to obtain a Concealed Handgun permit from the state of Colorado. However, Colorado does honor permits from many other states if the holder of the permit is a resident of the issuing state. For example, if you are a resident of Arizona, Wyoming, Utah, Kansas, or Nebraska and have a permit issued by that state, Colorado would honor that permit. Additionally, Colorado's Concealed Handgun Permit is currently honored by 35 states.
