The Arizona Non-Resident Permit is a great permit for any Californian to have in their wallet. This permit allows California residents to conceal carry in 33 different states. The Arizona Non-Resident Concealed Carry Permit makes travel easy because bordering states such as Nevada and Arizona honor this permit. This means that you can take your firearm with you when crossing California’s borders. On the day of the course, we provide everything required to get your permit: paperwork, training, and fingerprinting services. Once you complete all your paperwork, you can mail it in or have us deliver your completed application to The Arizona Department of Public Safety for a small fee. Do I have to be an Arizona resident to get an Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit?

No, you do not need to be a resident of Arizona to receive an Arizona concealed weapons permit. Arizona will issue permits to non-residents who meet the requirements to receive a permit. Arizona is one of the best permits a Californian can obtain. The non-resident Arizona permit is honored by more than 30 states, making it great to have when traveling. Even if you have a permit from your home state, you may want to consider adding a non-resident Arizona permit to add more states to the list of states you can legally carry in.

What do I need to do after the class to get my permit?

This class is the only class required to get your Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit. Once you have completed the class, you will receive the certificate of course completion required by the state to get your permit. During class, your fingerprints will be taken by one of our fingerprint technicians. After class, all you need to do is submit your completed application, fingerprints, certificate, and a certified check for $60.00 to the Arizona DPS. To make things even simpler, you have the option to leave all of your application materials with us before you leave class! For $75.00, we will submit your application for you and include the $60.00 certified check. Your permit will show up in the mail 6-9 weeks after submission. The additional $75.00 for the certified check and delivery can be paid to ASDI with cash or credit card at the class and is a separate charge from the class fee.

How could national reciprocity affect this?

With the current balance in the Supreme Court, national reciprocity could become a reality. A strong decision in favor of the second amendment at the Supreme Court level could allow anyone with a concealed carry permit to carry in all 50 states. Unfortunately, a court decision like this wouldn't make getting a California permit any easier. Getting an Arizona Non-Resident Concealed Firearms permit would likely be the best way to legally carry nationwide for many Californians if the Supreme Court were to do this.
