This means you can legally conceal carry while traveling across much of the U.S. so long as you follow each state’s specific laws. Nevada’s permit is widely respected due to its in-person training and live-fire qualification requirements which demonstrate a higher standard of responsibility and firearm proficiency. Nevada’s CCW permit is a valuable tool for personal protection and can give you peace of mind throughout your daily life. This class is the only class required for you to get your permit. After the classroom portion and the live-fire exercise are completed, all you need to do is go to your local sheriff’s office to submit your application and complete the process. Nevada is a “shall issue” state, meaning as long as you complete the class and meet the qualifications, your sheriff will issue you a permit.

The written test is roughly 50 questions and a score of 70% or higher is required. Students are encouraged to take notes and ask the instructor any questions they might have so as to pass these tests in order to qualify for the concealed carry permit.
