How to Apply for an Arizona Concealed Carry Permit (CWP)

Complete the Application
Complete the official application form from AZ DPS.

You will need to include:
- Completed application form- can be done online
- Fingerprint cards (from Fieldprint process if applicable)
- Proof of firearms training- signed certificate received after class
- Copy of a valid state ID
- If born outside the USA, you will need a U.S. passport or permanent resident card
- Application fee
- If applying online- pay with credit card
- If applying through mail- must use money order or certified check (no personal checks or cash)

Get Fingerprinted (Fieldprint)
Arizona requires 2 fingerprint cards as part of your application. The easiest way to complete this is through Fieldprint.

- Visit a Fieldprint location near you

- Processing time can take several weeks (75 days)
