What are Arizona’s Concealed Handgun Permit requirements?
To qualify for the Arizona Concealed Handgun Permit, the following is required:
- A legal resident of Arizona, or a citizen of the United States
- 21 years old or older
- Be 21 years of age or older or at least 19 years of age and provide evidence of current military service or proof of honorable discharge or general discharge under honorable conditions from the United States Armed Forces, United States Armed Forces Reserve or a State National Guard.
- Not be under indictment for a felony offense
- Not be convicted of a felony offense, unless the conviction has been expunged, set aside, vacated or pardoned, or the individual's right to possess firearms has been restored AND the individual must not be a prohibited possessor under state or federal law.
- Not suffer from mental illness and been adjudicated mentally incompetent or committed to a mental institution;
- Not be unlawfully present in the United States;

What is the total cost to obtain an Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit?
The current total cost to obtain an Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit is $120.00. This cost consists of our class fee of $60.00 and the state processing fee of $60.00. The state processing fee can be submitted as a certified check when you mail in your completed packet or if you complete the application online, it can be paid with a credit card. The permit will show up in the mail 6-9 weeks after submission.
Does the Arizona Concealed Carry Class include range time or a shooting qualification?
No, Arizona does not require any range time or shooting qualification to get an Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit. While the Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit course does not include range time we highly recommend all students obtain additional live-fire.
After Completing my Arizona Concealed Carry Class, what else is left to do?
This class is the only class required to get your Arizona Concealed Weapons Permit. Once you have completed the class, you will receive the certificate of completion required by the state to get your permit. After class, all you need to do is get fingerprinted and submit your completed application, fingerprint cards, certificate of completion, and a certified check for $60.00 to the Arizona DPS. Arizona recommends using the FieldPrint kiosks located throughout the state for fingerprints. The permit will show up in the mail 6-9 weeks after submission.
