Our Louisiana Concealed Carry classroom courses are designed to give students a clear understanding of the legal requirements and responsibilities involved in obtaining a Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit (CHP). Instruction is provided by experienced, USCCA-certified instructors who focus on helping students feel confident in their knowledge of Louisiana concealed carry and self-defense laws. Our objective goes beyond simply completing a required course—we aim to ensure you leave with a strong foundation in the laws and practical considerations of carrying a concealed handgun responsibly. Throughout the class, we cover real-world self-defense situations and walk through how Louisiana law applies, including actions that may lead to legal consequences.

What should you expect?

Practical Training

Throughout the course, you’ll be introduced to safe firearm handling, responsible ownership practices, and Louisiana firearm and self-defense laws. We also cover real-life considerations such as secure storage, keeping firearms safe around children, and understanding the responsibilities that come with carrying concealed.

Knowledgeable Instructors

Our instructors are USCCA/NRA-certified and bring extensive experience in firearm safety and self-defense. They provide practical insight into responsible gun ownership and concealed carry, helping you build both the knowledge and confidence needed to carry responsibly while understanding the legal aspects involved.

Commitment Safety

Safety is emphasized at every stage of training, both inside and outside the classroom. To maintain a secure environment, live ammunition is not allowed during class sessions. Our goal is to promote responsible, informed, and safety-focused firearm ownership for every student.

Why Louisiana's Permit?

Louisiana allows lawful concealed carry without a permit for individuals who meet the state’s legal requirements. Even so, many people still choose to obtain a Louisiana Concealed Handgun Permit because it can provide added benefits such as reciprocity with other states that recognize Louisiana permits. Having a permit can also help streamline certain aspects of firearm purchases. Applicants who want a permit must complete the required training and submit their application through the Louisiana State Police, including fingerprinting and a background check. Louisiana remains a shall-issue state for permits, meaning qualified applicants who meet the legal requirements and complete the process are issued a permit
