All our Arkansas Concealed Handgun Carry License classes are designed to satisfy the training requirement needed to apply for an Arkansas CHCL. Arkansas Code § 5-73-309 requires applicants to satisfactorily complete a training course prescribed and approved by the Director of the Division of Arkansas State Police before a license may be issued. The same statute also outlines applicant requirements, including age, residency or qualifying military status, background check eligibility, and other disqualifying conditions. Classes are taught by experienced and knowledgeable USCCA/NRA instructors. In the class, we strive to ensure that each student leaves feeling comfortable with their knowledge of Arkansas concealed carry laws, Arkansas self-defense laws, safe handgun handling, and responsible everyday carry. Our goal is not just to help you check off the class needed to apply for your license; we want you to leave with the knowledge, skills, and confidence to carry responsibly. We will discuss self-defense scenarios and go point by point through what to do and what not to do. Finally, students will leave with the required training documentation needed to continue the application process through the Division of Arkansas State Police.

Why Arkansas’ Concealed Handgun Carry License?
Arkansas allows eligible individuals to carry without a license when they are not carrying with the purpose to unlawfully employ a handgun as a weapon against another person. However, an Arkansas Concealed Handgun Carry License remains valuable for residents who want formal training, proof of competency, and reciprocity benefits when traveling outside of the state. Arkansas Code § 5-73-315 states that a person with a valid license issued under the concealed handgun subchapter may carry a concealed handgun.
This class provides the training needed to apply for your Arkansas CHCL under Arkansas Code § 5-73-309. After class, students can continue the application process through the Division of Arkansas State Police by submitting the completed application, required fee, fingerprints, medical/criminal records waiver, digital photograph or release authorization, and any supporting documents required by the state. Arkansas Code § 5-73-311 lists the application materials required for a concealed handgun carry license.
