Why Renew Your Nevada Permit?
Nevada does not have constitutional concealed carry, so a valid Nevada Concealed Firearm Permit is generally required to carry a concealed handgun in Nevada. A renewal class helps current permit holders satisfy the required training under Nevada Revised Statute § 202.3677 and demonstrate continued handgun competence before renewing their permit.
To renew, permit holders must complete and submit a renewal application to the sheriff who issued the permit and undergo the required background investigation. The renewal application must include the required fees, and Nevada law adds a late fee if the permittee fails to renew on or before the expiration date. This class provides the renewal training needed to continue the Nevada CCW renewal process. After class, students will need to submit their renewal application, certificate of completion, required fees, and any additional materials required by their sheriff’s office.
